Theresa Bradley worked professionally as a
manufacturer's representative, servicing the interior design community in Utah.
She loved and appreciated excellence in design, and delighted in the use of color,
texture and space to enhance the lives of others. In honor of Terry's legacy,
we are presenting the TENTH annual Theresa Bradley Spirit Award for Interior Design.
PURPOSE
To recognize and honor outstanding interior design that provides a life-enhancing
experience in the community.
CRITERIA
Projects will be judged for design creativity, aesthetics, function and client
satisfaction.
AWARD / RECOGNITION
- Winner will be announced at the Design Awareness Event in Salt Lake City
on March 24, 2005.
- Winning project will be featured on the Design Awareness website.
- Winner will receive:
- Custom glass award.
- $2000 Cash Prize to be used by the winner for furthering his or hers knowledge of interior design.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Project must have been completed between January 1st, 2003 and December 31st, 2004 (the completion date shall be considered to be the owners move in date).
- The project must be installed within the Intermountain States of Utah, Montana, Wyoming, or Idaho .
- The space must have a business or civic function and be accessible to the public.
- Project must be a professionally designed interior space.
- Projects may be submitted either by an individual, a team or a firm residing within the Intermountain States of Utah, Montana, Wyoming or Idaho.
- Submittal must be contained in a standard three-ring binder with the following items in the order noted:
- completed entry
form
- one page, double-spaced statement describing the project including client's objectives, design solutions, square footage, budget including donated services/products, and date of completion
- a floor plan - showing furniture layout
- a maximum of seven color photographs of the project enclosed in clear
plastic binder pages;
one picture should be an exterior view of the building

- a floppy disc or CD containing the submitted photographs in digital format
(JPEG). Minimum size: 600 x 400 pixels
- Submittal must be postmarked by February 23, 2005.
- Mail submittal to Theresa Bradley Spirit Award, 8482 Daneborg Circle, Salt Lake City, UT 84121
- An entry fee of $25.00 must be submitted with each entry. Make checks payable
to Salt Lake Design Awareness Foundation.
- Entries will be returned upon request with inclusion of shipping labels.
- Only one submittal per project will be considered.
- The decision of the judges is final.
- If in the opinion of the jury, no entry meets the minimum criteria of the
competition, no award will be made.
