Project Description:
Rodizio Pizza Company is a Brazilian pizza restaurant that was consider to open in Trolley Square, Salt Lake City. The owner of Rodizio Grill was interested in open authentic Brazilian pizza restaurant in the Trolley Square and My teacher Karen Cahoon (great teacher), was able to get the information to us to design the restaurant. I was very excited about the opportunity and had a lot of fun leaning experience. I wanted to design the space that is authentic but not so stereotyped idea of how we think about Brazil. I incorporated space with hand art work of glass, Brazil art work and fun color through out, which owner of Rodizio Grill and future owner of Rodizio Pizza Company, Ivan Utera had told us about the his country's culture and their art.
Biography:
My name is Jean (legal name is Jin-Suk) Sharp. In 1961, I was born in the city of Kwang-Ju, South Korea. I am the oldest of three children. Throughout grade school, junior high, high school and college I was very involved with school art clubs and achieved many national competition awards. Before I came to America, I earned my bachelor degree in Fine arts. Most of my time was spent painting and sculpting and my goal was to become a famous artist up until I met my husband, Brett. He was born and raised in Cache Valley, Utah.

On March 3, 1984, I arrived in America and was married on St. Patrick’s Day. I have been married for almost 20 years and have three wonderful children, ages 19, 17, and 13. My husband is a well-respected physician in Northern Utah. For many years the focus of my life was supporting my husband through his schooling in addition to raising my three little ones. As my children started getting older I started to focus on my life. A little over three years ago, I met a wonderful friend who suggested that I consider going into the field of interior design. In 2001, I decided to enroll at Weber State University in Interior Design. Since then, I have been very happy with that decision.

Each semester, I have managed to take 12 credit hours and have received a full-time academic scholarship for 2003-2004. I served as Interior Design Student Organization President for 2002-2003 and have been very involved with school activities. Additionally, I am a student member of IIDA, ASID, and NKBA organizations.
