2006 AWARDS : Theresa Bradley Student Award

Theresa Bradley worked professionally as a manufacturer�s representative for SMED International, servicing the interior design community in Utah. She loved and appreciated excellence in design, and delighted in the use of color, texture and space to enhance the lives of others. In honor of Terry�s legacy, The Salt Lake Design Awareness Foundation is pleased to announce the ELEVENTH Annual Theresa Bradley Student Spirit Award

PURPOSE

To recognize outstanding design achievement by an interior design student who best represents the Theresa Bradley Spirit.

CRITERIA

The University will award the internship based upon creative, academic, and leadership accomplishments as demonstrated by a portfolio submission, academic transcripts, and a one-page biography.

SELECTION PROCESS

Selection will be made by each of the University design schools.

AWARD / RECOGNITION

Three winners will be selected, one each from Weber State University, Utah State University and Brigham Young University � Idaho.
Winners will be announced at the Design Awareness Event in Salt Lake City on June 29, 2006.
Winners will each receive a certificate recognizing their achievement.
Winners will each be awarded a $2,000 cash prize.
Winning students will be featured on the Design Awareness website: www.designawareness.org

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must be a 3rd year student of interior design at Utah State University, Weber State University, or Brigham Young University � Idaho.
Entry should be made to your University�s design department. It should include the following:

Completed entry form
An official transcript (or official copy) of grades with cumulative GPA highlighted
One page student biography highlighting personal accomplishments, interests and goals
Portfolio with class project showing floor plan including furniture layout, perspective/rendering, fabric board, and project description including size, scope, functional requirements, and aesthetic requirements.
The design departments at each university will determine the submission date for their applicants.

The winner must attend the June 29, 2006 Award Presentation in order to receive the award.
